  37. A new version of the Alien Breed 3DII LevelEditor (V2.14) is now availeble 
  38. to download from my homepage.. This time however it's a bit different, I'm
  39. in the middle of moving the entire editor to the very powerfull OS-DevKit
  40. intuition-screens-system, so far my tests seems that these screens are
  41. about twice as fast as the old AMOS system (A 256-colour-screen matches
  42. the old 16-colours in updating). In V2.14 the main editor is converted, 
  43. and preparations is made to move most of the rest, I'm releasing it to try 
  44. and get a grasp of the errors in the sections I've done so far..
  45.  
  46. Please note that this version proberly holds some new bugs from the last
  47. version, for the same reason I won't send it to AmiNET, so please think of
  48. this as a test-version..

  50. Oh, yes. I just discovered I forgot to remove a test-procedure in the startup,
  51. so the editor will start out with a note stating 'AQUA Rulez', please ignore
  52. this and click one of the buttons, as I won't make up a new version with this 
  53. single fix...

  55. - News in V2.14 (Released: 06031998) !!! Test-Version, limited release !!!
  56.   - Entire main level-designer runs on intuition-screen..
  57.   - User-difineable screen (only colours for now :(
  58.      16COLS [Default] -GFX's is shown as 8-grayscale..
  59.      32COLS           -GFX's is shown as 16-grayscale..
  60.      256COLS          -GFX's is shown in true colours..
  61.   - Temporaly disabled options:
  62.     Level-Checker, Optimize Zones/Points, Statistics and the options for
  63.     selecting grid and objects/controlpoints shown on screen..
  64.   - Define heights rewritten..
  65.   - Program startup optimized..
  66.   - Both Metric and 'Real' heights is shown when defining heights..
  67.   - Fixed a stupid bug in the Metric-heights calculation..
  68.   - The packing of levels is now done directly by the  saver,  so  the  'pack
  69.     level' option has been removed from the menu :)
  70.   - FINALY added a (working ??) internal sample-replayer..
  71.   - Killed the prefs system, it will be taken over by the tool-types..
  72.   - New Tool-Types:
  73.     '16COLS', '32COLS', '256COLS', 'FastGFX', 'CacheGFX'.
